Actor Katherine Heigl is opening herself about her experience of being born into a "white bubble" and how this realisation has impacted how she raises her multiracial adopted children. She is the "Firefly Lane" as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actress revealed in a recent interview that in regards to the color of her skin, it didn't matter to her the way she looked, but after she spoke with her older sister whom she taken in by South Korea, she realized how different society treated each of them. Meg was asked if the way she was treated differed in the times they went out with their parents or the time they were on their own. She replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl admitted to her parents that it made her realize just how naive she had been. She said that she was upset and believed she needed to channel the anger she felt on the adopted children she has. Heigl, who has been married to Josh Kelley for 13 years they have a son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. They have adopted Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 years old in 2009. and then Adalaide who was 8 years older and was Black in 2012.
