Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
The babies were asleep in their cribs as I was strapped with a baby to my back. Ha! Ha! It all started to seem logical, however it wasn't quite finished. For furnishing the space would be a huge effort in terms of budget and time. I would also have to do my favourite shopping. To stay on budget I started going to estate sales with three boys searching for diamonds in the rough. It was a weekly tradition that we would go through garage and estate sales on Thursdays and Saturdays buying a mixture of antique and brand new furniture. My next task was to spend the rest of my time painting and sanding outside in our driveway. It looked a bit like the following... This is where my love for restoring antique furniture started. Even after our house was furnished I couldn't put it down! I had a stand on the local market, and even sold some items there. There were numerous pieces that I did not think of a solution and I outgrew my space. In my own home, I started hosting open houses in which more than 1000 people could come in to purchase anything they wanted from the first floor in just one weekend. Growing Days is the result of this. Growing Days wasn't just an extremely successful company, it was it was also a loving family. There was a perfect balance between the start of a company and becoming a mother. Growing Days seemed like the best match. My sweet Nora was born in 2013, which was our 4th child. My business was booming but I was in need of a break. I took a pause from making vintage furniture, and slowed down my pace and stayed at home to raise the children. It was just what I required. It was only after several months that the phones started to be ringing. People contacted me asking for help with the interior design and renovations of their home. They had mainly visited my house at the open houses that were held for furniture. In the following months, I began to take on more clients, according to my own pace. Soon I had multiple customers and was operating a business of home renovations. If you'd told me that this business that I started would become the basis of a television show on DIY Network I probably would have laughed. Actually, I smile at times when I think of it.
