Jenna Fischer has become best recognized for her role as Pam Beesly, the character she played in The Office. For her character, she was awarded two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and an Emmy Award for the Best Supporting Actress.
Her birthplace and childhood was in Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna was attracted by her mother's church performances at the time she started her journey.
She is a trained actress who was back in theater following The Office. She starred in the Off-Broadway production Reasons to be Happy which was written and directed by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. Then she starred in Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist play starring Greg Germann with Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's world premiere.

The show became hugely popular and ranked within the Top Ten of the world each week. It had more than 200 million downloads during its first 2 years. She is the author of two books, The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide In it, she recounts her experience through St. Louis to Hollywood to become a working actress, and the forthcoming Office BFF's: Tales of The Office From Two Best Friends That Were There (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) The book is the story of their greatest friendship as well as their work in The Office.
