Amanda Seales aka Amanda Diva (born July 1 in 1981) is a comedian, host/DJ and content creator born in Los Angeles, California. She moved to Orlando when she was 8 years old and attended Dr. Phillips High School. After completing her undergrad in SUNY Purchase, Amanda earned a master's in African American Studies with a specialization in hip-hop at Columbia University. Her career began on the now famous Nickelodeon series My Brother and Me in 1994 as Deonne. She later became well-known to the public thanks to her performance as VJ Amanda Seales the face of Hip-Hop on MTV2 Sucker Free Sundays. Though spending some time as an artist on the recording stage and a spoken word poet in 2011 she switched her name to Amanda Diva back to Amanda Seales as well as returning to television and shortly thereafter adding stand up comedian to her credits.
